Editing your sleep in Polar Flow app
You can adjust your sleep in the Flow app on your mobile phone and make the following changes:
- Change the sleep timing of detected sleep or revert to the originally detected sleep
- Add new sleep
- Delete one sleep period at a time
You can only adjust your sleep timing for data that's no older than seven days. A sleep period needs to be at least 4 hours long. Sleep cannot overlap a training session.
When you wear a Polar watch it detects from your movement when you fall asleep and when you wake up. However, we may sometimes get the timing wrong if your sleep is restless or you lie in bed awake but not moving. Or maybe you forgot to wear your watch and want to add the sleep time afterwards, here's how.
If you adjust your sleep time 15 minutes or more at either end, we re-evaluate your sleep cycles. With the more accurate information we can give you more accurate interpretation of your sleep stages.
Open Sleep view.
Tap Edit button and turn your phone horizontally into landscape view.
Drag the vertical bars at the end of your detected sleep time according to how you perceived your sleep period and tap Preview.
Preview the result and Confirm it or tap Cancel to go back.
If you change your mind, you can Switch back to the automatically measured sleep data.
Open Sleep view.
Tap Calendar button to enter Weekly sleep view.
Tap Add sleep time.
Set your sleep time. Note that you can add new sleep time for the past seven days only.
Open Sleep view.
Tap Delete button.
Accept the confirmation.
