Polar kicks off 2015 with a bang at CES

We’ve kicked-off the New Year 2015 at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas, Nevada big time! At the event Team Polar announced the arrival of the new fitness and activity monitor A300. The A300 not only includes Polar’s Smart Coaching features but also comes with 24/7 activity tracking and vibrating activity alerts.
The elegant Polar A300 will be available in North America and Finland in February for a suggested retail price of €119.90, or €159.90 with the additional Polar H7 heart rate sensor. The suggested retail price of accessory wristbands is €24.90. Polar A300 is expected to be available in more countries in June.
In the meantime, we know you want to know more about the A300, so check it out from here.
Polar introduces Smart Notifications for V800
Another exciting release is the new Smart Notifications for V800 which also were demonstrated at the Las Vegas event. The Smart Notifications enable you to receive alerts and notifications from your phone (only iOS for now) to your V800 and M400. How exciting is that! We’re planning on bringing out the Smart Notifications in two phases. During the first phase, which is planned to take place during the winter months, we’ll introduce alerts from incoming calls, received messages and also notifications from other applications, such as facebook, location apps or even games. More features including music control and Android support will be released during Q2.
Polar introduces co-operation with MyFitnessPal
Hold on to your socks, the good news doesn’t stop here! We have joined forces with MyFitnessPal. MyFitnessPal allows easy tracking of daily nutrition and calorie intake. If you use Polar Flow App for iOS you and have one of the Flow compatible devices on your wrist, you can soon connect with MyFitnessPal and have your training and daily activity details automatically sent to MyFitnessPal Exercise Diary. By linking Polar Flow and MyfitnessPal accounts, you can easily view nutrition together with activity and training details at once and you’ll know if you need to eat or exercise to reach your daily calorie budget.
Polar will launch this exciting integration in January 2015 along with the FlowApp 2.3 update.
We hope you are as excited about these new launches as we are!
