Troubleshooting M200 GPS

In the Polar Flow web service, click your name/profile photo > choose Sport Profiles > click Edit under the sport you want to edit > set GPS recording rate to High accuracy.
Stand still until the satellite signals are found. Go outdoors and away from tall buildings and trees. Keep your M200 still with the display upwards to find the GPS satellite signals. Your M200 vibrates and the GPS icon stops blinking when the signal is found.
The best GPS signal reception can be reached when training in an open area where there are no obstructions for the satellite signals. Due to the nature of the GPS signal, for example hills, tall buildings, and trees may block the satellite signal. Rain, fog, and snow may also affect the signal quality. These conditions may result in uneven speed reading during the exercise and cause an uneven speed curve in Polar software even when you have exercised going at a steady pace.
Your M200 uses SiRFInstantFixâ„¢ satellite prediction technology to acquire a fast satellite fix. In optimal conditions, i.e. outdoors and away from tall buildings and trees, your M200 can find satellite signals in less than one minute. The technology in the M200 accurately predicts satellite positions for up to three days. This way, if you train again during the next three days, your M200 knows where to search for the satellites and is able to acquire signals more quickly, even in 5-10 seconds.
The positioning accuracy progressively decreases during the 2nd and 3rd days. If you don't train again within the next couple of days, your M200 will have to locate the satellites signals again from scratch next time, and more time may be required for acquiring the current position.
