How do I start using my Polar M400?

The first time set-up of your Polar device can be done either from the device itself, or in the Polar Flow web service. It is recommended to start your Polar device via computer to make sure it has the latest firmware.
- Plug your Polar device into your computer’s USB port with the cable that came in the box.
- Let the device fully charge and unplug the device from the cable.
- Press START to activate your Polar device display.
- Your Polar device is delivered with English only, but you can add other languages from the Flow web service. For more information, see Languages in My Polar Device.
- Your Polar device is ready to go.
- Plug your Polar device into your computer’s USB port with the cable that came in the box.
- Let the device fully charge.
- Go to flow.polar.com/start.
- Download and install Polar FlowSync, the synchronizing software you need for communication between the Polar Flow web service and your Polar device.
- Create a Polar Account in the Polar Flow web service or sign in if you already have a username and password for one of the Polar web based services.
- Set up your user settings and synchronize device. If an update is offered during the synchronization process, accept it to get the latest software version.
- Your Polar device is ready to go.
