How do I reset my Polar M460/M400?
You can do a soft reset by pressing and holding the UP, DOWN, BACK and LIGHT buttons simultaneously for five seconds until the Polar animation is shown on the display. After the reset, the M460/M400Â automatically goes to time view.
All data that you have synced from your Polar device to your Flow account is safe. In M400Â you have to set the time and date again after the reset. All your other settings will remain unchanged.
If the soft reset didn't help resolve the issue, perform factory reset. All data that you have synced from your M460/M400Â to your Flow account is safe.
Factory reset disconnects your Polar device from your user account and deletes all data on the device.
To factory reset
- Plug in your M460/M400 to your computer’s USB port and go to FlowSync software. The Polar FlowSync software transfers your training information to the Polar Flow web service.
- Click the settings icon (1) and select FACTORY RESET (2). It takes a moment to the restore factory settings. Then unplug your Polar device and plug it again.
- Once Flow web service landing page opens, select Sign in and use your existing Flow username and password to log in.
- Accept the settings and press Done in the end.
