Connecting Polar Flow app to Health Connect
Polar Flow app for Android supports Health Connect. It acts as a central hub for health and fitness data from all your supported apps.
What data is synced from Polar Flow app to Health Connect?
- Active calories burned: excludes BMR calories
- Distance: if training session has distance information
- Exercise: start time, end time, laps (if available)
- Exercise route: if available
- Heart rate: heart rate during workouts
- Height: physical settings
- Oxygen saturation: SpO2 record
- Resting heart rate: physical settings
- Sleep: start time, end time, stages from Polar sleep phases
- Speed: record from workouts
- Steps: per day
- Total calories burned: includes active and BMR calories
- VO2 max: physical settings
- Weight: physical settings
Connecting to Health Connect
To allow Health Connect to access your Flow data:
1. Open the Flow app and go to General settings.
2. Turn on Health Connect. Depending on your Android version, if you don't already have Health Connect installed, you will be redirected to the Google Play Store to install the app. After installation, it should launch automatically.
3. Choose the data you want the Flow app to share with Health Connect and tap Allow.
4. The services are now connected. If you decide to change the data you share in the future, you can tap Manage permissions.
From now on, Health Connect receives your new Flow data, provided that you keep the connection active.
To disconnect, just turn the lever to off position.
