Sport settings
You can access Sport settings from Settings in the main menu, in pre-training mode, or during a paused session.
Sport settings vary depending on the selected sport profile. The available settings are:
- Training sounds
- Vibration feedback
- Always-on display
- Slap
- Custom button
- Automatic pause
- Automatic lap
- Positioning satellites
- GPS recording
- Altitude
- Heart rate
- Swimming distance
- Speed/pace
- Power
- Bike settings
Additional sport profile settings, including editing training views and heart rate, speed/pace, and power training zones, are available in the app and web service.
Training sounds
Set the training sounds off, or adjust the volume.
Vibration feedback
Turn vibration feedback on or off.
If you turn the feature on, your watch alarms you by vibrating when for example, you start or stop a training session, GPS signal is found and when you are out of your target heart rate limits.
Always-on display
Turn always-on display on or off.
When always-on display is turned on, the watch display remains illuminated throughout your training session. Please note that this setting drains the battery faster than the default setting.
Slap
Choose Off or Take a lap. If you choose Take a lap, you can mark a lap during a training session by firmly slapping the display.
Custom button
The custom button, located in the upper-left corner of the watch, provides quick access to selected functions. You can assign one function to the custom button for time mode. For training, you can assign a separate function for each sport.

Automatic pause
Tap Automatic pause to turn it on or off. When you turn on Automatic pause, set the speed limit for automatic pausing. When your speed falls below the selected speed limit, your training session is paused automatically.
To use Automatic pause during training, set the GPS recording rate to Every 1 second (high).
Automatic lap
Set Automatic lap to Distance-based, Duration-based, Location-based, or Off. If you choose Distance-based, set the distance after which each lap is taken. If you choose Duration-based, set the duration after which each lap is taken. If you choose Location-based, a lap is taken every time you arrive at the point where you started the session.
Positioning satellites
Choose Better accuracy (dual-frequency GPS) or Power save (single-frequency GPS). For more information, see Positioning satellites.
GPS recording
Set GPS recording rate to Every 1 second (high), Every 1 min (power save), Every 2 min (ultra mode) or Off.
Altitude
Turn altitude measurement on or off.
Heart rate

Share heart rate: Share your heart rate with other Bluetooth devices like training apps, gym equipment or cycling computers. For more information, see Heart rate sensor mode.
Share heart rate setting is available only in pre-training and pause mode.

Heart rate visible to all: Turn live heart rate broadcasting on or off. For more information, see Live heart rate broadcasting.

Show heart rate as: Choose Beats per minute (bpm), % of maximum or % of reserve.

Zone limits: View your heart rate zone limits.
Swimming distance
Choose Meters or Yards. Available only when Open water swimming is selected.
Speed/pace

Units: Choose km/h or min/km.

Zones: View your speed/pace zone limits.
Power

Units: Choose W (Watts), W/kg (Watts per kilogram), % of MAP (Maximum Aerobic Power), or % of FTP (Functional Threshold Power). The available options depend on the selected sport profile.
You can find out your MAP by taking the Running Performance Test and your FTP by taking the Cycling Performance Test.

Zone limits: View your power zone limits.
Bike settings
Bike settings are visible only if you have paired a cycling sensor with your watch.
- Wheel size: Set the wheel size in millimeters. You can set the size from 10 mm to 3999 mm. For instructions on measuring the wheel size, see Pairing sensors with your watch.
- Crank length: Set the crank length in millimeters. The setting is visible only if you have paired a power sensor.
- Sensors in use: View all the sensors you have linked to the bike.
