Updating Verity Sense Firmware from 2.2.6 to 3.0.15
Applies to: Verity Sense
The Verity Sense 3.0.15 firmware update can be done either on mobile via the Polar Flow app or on a computer via FlowSync. We recommend using the Flow app for the update.
After the update, Verity Sense can no longer be connected to FlowSync. The USB functionality is permanently disabled to meet the European Unionâs Radio Equipment Directive (RED) requirements and to enhance data security. Disabling the USB port prevents unauthorized access to memory and data via USB communication.
Option 1: Update using the Flow app (Recommended)
Tip: Plug the device into a power source before starting to ensure a smooth update.
- Open the Flow app on your mobile device and sign in.
- Turn on Verity Sense by pressing the button.
- Start the firmware update when prompted. The app will guide you through the process.
Option 2: Update using FlowSync
If you choose to update using FlowSync, please note the following:
- During the update, FlowSync will appear stuck on the âUpdatingâ screen. This is expected, as USB is disabled during the update to comply with RED requirements and to improve data security.
- Do not disconnect Verity Sense too early. Wait at least 15 minutes before unplugging the device.
- After the update, setup must be completed in the Flow app.
Steps:
Place the sensor into the USB adapter and plug it into your computer's USB port.
Open FlowSync and start the firmware update.
FlowSync will appear stuck on the âUpdatingâ screen. Do not disconnect the device.

Wait 15 minutes for the update to complete.
- The firmware will update successfully to version 3.0.15, even though FlowSync does not show a completion message.
- After 15 minutes, you can disconnect Verity Sense.
Set up your Verity Sense in the Flow app by following the on-screen instructions.
Success! ##
