How do I sync my Polar watch with the Polar Flow app?
Before syncing make sure:
- You have a Polar account and the Flow app downloaded and installed to your mobile device
- Your mobile device has Bluetooth turned on.
- Airplane mode/flight mode is not turned on (on both your Polar device and mobile device)
- You have paired your watch with your mobile.
There are two ways to sync your data:
- Sign into the Flow app and press and hold the BACK button on your watch.
- Connecting to phone is displayed, followed by Connecting to app.
- Syncing completed is displayed when you are done.
or
- Sign into the Flow app and on your Polar device go to Settings > General settings > Pair and sync > Pair and sync phone.
- Connecting to phone is displayed, followed by Connecting to app.
- Syncing completed is displayed when you are done.
When your watch syncs with the Flow app, the data is also synced automatically via an internet connection to the Flow web service.
You can update the firmware of your Polar watch with your phone if you're using the Polar Flow mobile app to sync your training and activity data. The app will let you know if there's an update available and will guide you through it. We recommend that you plug the watch into a power source before starting the update to ensure a flawless update operation. The wireless firmware update may take up to 20 minutes, depending on your connection.
