Data Export from

It is possible to export data from web service to an XML file (Extensible Markup Language file). XML file can be opened with e.g. Microsoft Excel or Word, NotePad or NotePad++ which is free source code editor and can be downloaded from internet.

You are able to export your data from to your own computer for backup and to analyze it in ways does not yet offer. Exportable calendar item type are exercise data items (targets and results), fitness data items, calendar notes, and events.

How to export
1. Log in to
2. Go to Training/Diary and select List view from the upper right corner of the Diary.
4. Select the items you want to export by ticking the check box left of the desired calendar item.
5. Click on Export Selected -button
A Save as -dialog appears prompting you to Open or Save the generated XML file.
Export selected button does nothing if no items are selected. The file name is composed of your user account nickname, the current date and the word ”export”, all separated by an underscore. The file type suffix is always .xml

The easiest way to open an XML file is to double-click on it and let your PC decide which default application should open the file. If no program opens the XML file then you probably don't have an application installed that can view and/or edit XML files.

XML schema information XML schema for an exported XML is available at The version number for an exported XML structure can be seen in XML root tag's (<polarexercise-data>) version attribute (1.0 in the example above). The corresponding XML schema file for that structure is ped-1.0.xsd.
