Polar Vantage V and Vantage M 5.0.10 firmware updates – Strava Live Segments®, FitSpark™ and race pace
There are new firmware updates available for both Polar Vantage V and Vantage M. This release delivers Strava Live Segments (Vantage V only), FitSpark™ and race pace to your Vantage.
Note that this is the final major firmware update for Vantage V and Vantage M. No more new features will be added.
Strava Live Segments (Vantage V)
Follow your running and cycling segment performance in real-time on your Vantage V with Strava Live Segments. Strava Segments are previously defined sections of road or trail where athletes can compete for time in cycling or running and view their real-time performance against a segment’s KOM/QOM as well as against their personal record. After connecting your Flow and Strava accounts and syncing your favorite Strava segments to your Vantage V, you’ll be notified of any nearby segments during your sessions.
Note that you need to have a Strava Summit Analysis pack to use the Strava Live Segments feature on your Vantage V. See STRAVA SUPPORT for help with Strava Live Segments and have a look at Using Strava Live Segements with Vantage V for detailed instructions for using them.
FitSpark™ training guide
The FitSpark™ training guide offers ready-made daily on-demand workouts that match your recovery, fitness level and training history. No more stress about finding the right workout – let FitSpark do the planning for you.
FitSpark workouts are ready-made training targets defined by Polar, and they include instructions on how to perform the exercises as well as real-time step-by-step guidance to ensure you exercise safely and with proper technique. All workouts are time-based, and are adjusted based on your current fitness level, making them suitable for everyone.

Race pace
The race pace feature helps you keep a steady pace and achieve your target time for a set distance. Define a target time for the distance - 45 minutes for a 10k run for example and follow how far behind or ahead you are compared to your pre-set target. You can also check what the steady pace/speed to meet your target is. Race pace can be set on your Vantage, or you can also set a race pace target in the Flow web service or app, and sync it to your watch. See Race pace (Vantage M/Vantage V) for more information.
Favorites renewal in the Flow web service and app
You may have noticed that we’ve also just recently refreshed the favorites page in the Flow web service. Organizing your training targets, routes and Strava Segments is now smoother than ever as they can now all be managed from one place, and for for each device separately, as well as be organized by type (route, target, Strava Segment). We also brought the possibility to manage your favorites for each device separately to the Flow app side as well.
This renewal comes in handy as Vantage V can now hold up to 100 favorites at a time.
Update your watch on your computer via FlowSync or on your mobile via Flow app. To find the latest info on upcoming releases check out the POLAR VANTAGE V AND M ENHANCEMENTS PAGE.
