V800 1.10.103 firmware update – Stryd running power meter and GoPro HERO5 compatibility including more remote camera controls
GoPro HERO5 Compatibility
This release brings GoPro HERO5 Black and GoPro HERO5 Session compatibility to Polar V800. We’ve also added a new GoPro remote camera control to it. You can now change the camera’s mode from your V800 by pressing and holding the START button. In addition, photo and video resolution is shown on your V800 as well as video field of view (FOV) and frames per second (fps).
See GoPro HERO4/HERO5 Remote Camera Controls on Polar V800 and the video below to get started.
Stryd Power Meter Support
Also included in this release is Stryd running power meter compatibility. Stryd provides the following metrics to help analyze and develop your running performance: power, form power, elevation, cadence, ground contact time, vertical oscillation, leg stiffness, pace and distance. See stryd.com/support to learn more.
View and analyze your Stryd power data in the Polar Flow web service or export it to a third-party service for further analysis. You can also check out Stryd’s PowerCenter. It’s a specialized platform to train with power that identifies your core running characteristics and tracks your training over time. Learn more at stryd.com/powercenter.
To get started see Polar V800 with Stryd running power meter.
Note that cadence measured with Stryd is shown as steps per minute, not as step pairs as with Polar products that measure cadence.
