Using G5 GPS Sensor for Tracking Your Route
To track your route, activate the G5 GPS sensor on your RS800CX / CS600X Training Computer (Settings → Features → GPS → On.) Teach new sensor? is displayed. If your sensor is already taught, select No. To teach a new sensor, make sure that there are no other GPS sensors nearby (40 m/131 ft) or that the other sensors are switched off, and select Yes.
Teaching ensures that your training computer receives signals only from your GPS sensor. It enables disturbance-free exercise in a group.
1. To check your current location before the training
a. Switch G5 GPS sensor on and wait until the sensor has found satellites (green LED flashes).
b. Press OK to enter exercise wait mode. Your heart rate appears on display within 15 seconds. When the training computer has detected satellites Satellites found is displayed.
c. Press UP, scroll to Location and press OK.
The training computer presents the location with the latest GPS coordinate data. Latitude and longitude are expressed in degrees and minutes. Number of visible satellites is displayed on the lowest row in the right corner.
d. Press OK to get back to exercise wait mode.
2. To check your current location during training
a. Press STOP to pause the exercise. In pause mode, press UP twice and scroll to Location.
b. Press OK to see your location data. The training computer gives the location according to the latest GPS coordinate data. Latitude and longitude are expressed in degrees and minutes. Number of visible satellites is displayed on the lowest row in the right corner.
c. To continue training, press OK to go back to pause mode and select Continue.
