The Smart Notifications feature doesn’t work with my Polar Loop 2 (Polar Flow app Android)

To be able to receive notifications from your phone to your Polar Loop 2, you need to have the Polar Flow mobile app for Android, and your Polar Loop 2 needs to be paired with the app. You also need to have Android version 5.0 or newer on your phone and the latest firmware version on your Polar Loop 2.

If the Smart Notifications feature doesn’t work or stops working, try the following steps one at a time:

  1. First make sure that your phone is within the range of 10 m/33 ft from your Polar Loop 2. Also make sure there is a clear line of sight between your Polar Loop 2 and your phone.

  2. Make sure you have Polar Flow app running on your phone.

  3. Sync your Polar Loop 2 with the Polar Flow app by tapping the touch button on your Polar Loop 2. This activates the Bluetooth connection.
     
  4. Check from the Polar Flow mobile app Settings > Notifications, that
    >> you’ve set Smart Notifications on
    >> the Do not disturb function doesn’t block the notifications
    >> you haven’t blocked notifications from certain apps in Block apps
    >> Polar Loop 2 is active in the mobile app Settings > Products.

    If you made changes to any of the above listed settings, remember to sync your Polar Loop 2 with the mobile app by tapping the touch button on your Polar Loop 2.

  5. If you don’t receive notifications from a certain application (for example WhatsApp), check that you have enabled notifications in the application. You can do this either via the mobile application’s settings or via your Android phone’s App notifications settings. See the user manual of your phone for further information on App notifications settings.

  6. Check from your phone’s Notification access settings that you have given Polar Flow app access to your phone notifications. See the user manual of your phone for further instructions.

  7. Restart your phone, open the Polar Flow mobile app and tap the touch button of your Polar Loop 2.

  8. Reset Bluetooth on your Polar Loop 2. Follow the related document link for instructions.

If the Polar Flow app is connected to several Polar products, we recommend that the Smart Notifications feature is used in only one product. This ensures that the Smart Notifications feature works properly.

We have verified the functionality with some of the most common phone models, like Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S6, Nexus 5, LG G4, Sony Xperia Z3. There might be differences in the functionality with other phone models which support Android 5.0.
