Polar Flow app and compatible devices
If you're using an older Polar product (M400, M460 or V650), you need to register it in the Polar Flow web service on your computer before it can be paired with the Polar Flow mobile app.
Polar devices and mobile platforms
Polar devices work with most modern smartphones. Here are the minimum requirements:
- iOS mobile devices with iOS 16 or later
- Android mobile devices with Bluetooth 4.0 capability and Android 7 or later (check full phone specification from your phone manufacturer)
- Huawei mobile devices with Huawei App Gallery and Huawei Mobile Services installed
There is plenty of variation between how different Android and iOS devices handle the technologies used in our products and services, such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and different standards and protocols. Because of this, compatibility varies between phone manufacturers, and unfortunately Polar cannot guarantee that all features can be used with all devices.

*The Polar V650 mobile sync is possible only with Android devices that can function as a Bluetooth low energy peripheral, allowing the Android device to advertise its presence to a device wanting to connect. There are several combinations of hardware and software solutions on the market and unfortunately we cannot guarantee that syncing is consistent with all devices that meet the technical requirements.
There are compatibility issues with all Polar devices and iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S models. The Bluetooth connection between the devices can often get lost during firmware updates and may take several tries to finish the update. Also autosync and phone notifications may not work very well with these phone models. We recommend updating your Polar device on a computer via FlowSync, instead of using either of these phone models.
