Polar A300 sync doesn’t start in FlowSync

Make sure you’ve connected your A300 correctly

Plug your A300 to your computer either directly (A) or with the USB cable (B). Make sure the cable is the right way up - the USB symbols of the device and the cable should be next to each other..

Make sure that the USB connector is dry and clean

If your product doesn’t charge properly, or if it doesn’t connect to FlowSync, it could be because the USB connector of the product is moist or isn’t dry or clean enough.
When you connect your A300 to a computer, check that there is no moisture, hair, dust or dirt on the USB connector. Gently wipe off any dirt or moisture. Don't use any sharp tools for cleaning to avoid scratching. Do NOT use alcohol, cleaning chemicals, or any abrasive material such as steel wool.

Make sure your A300 is in time view

Polar A300 has to be in time view when you start syncing.

Check that the USB cable works

If you’ve connected the A300 with the USB cable:
  • Remove and replug the USB cable into your A300.
  • If your A300 is plugged into your computer via a USB hub, try plugging it directly to the computer’s USB port.
  • Try other USB port(s).
  • Connect your A300 directly to the computer’s USB port without the cable.

Restart FlowSync

Close FlowSync by right-clicking/secondary clicking the icon on your computer taskbar/menubar. Choose Close. Then restart FlowSync from your computer desktop icon/Applications folder.

Restart your computer

Keep your A300 connected to the computer.

Enable Javascript and cookies in your browser

Javascript and cookies need to be enabled for the connection to work. Usually they are enabled by default. See your browser's help for further instructions.

Check that A300 is shown in your computer’s Human Interface Devices

  • Unplug A300 from the computer.
  • Windows: Go to (Start) > Control Panel > (System) > Device Manager > Human Interface Devices. Plug your A300 into your computer. Does the list update? Your A300 should be shown as a HID-compliant device.

  • Mac OS X: Click Apple menu > About This Mac > More Info > System Report > Hardware > USB. Plug your A300 into your computer. Does the list update? Your Polar A300 should be shown on the list.

  • If your A300 is not shown on the list and/or the synchronization does not start, please reset the device as instructed here.
