Polar Grit X 2.0 and Polar Vantage V2 3.0 releases – New features coming to both watches later this year
We’ll be bringing new features to Polar Grit X and Vantage V2 through firmware updates later this year. The updates are scheduled to be released towards the end of 2021.
The Vantage V2 update will add HR Sensor mode to its set of features, allowing you to use Vantage V2 as a heart rate sensor to view your heart rate data via BLE on gym equipment or mobile apps for example.
New features coming to Grit X include Weekly Summary, HR Sensor mode and music controls. In addition, in Polar Flow you’ll be able to create training targets based on power, add ZonePointer for power and speed zones, and add last lap details training views. Also included is the ability turn off your watch or perform a factory reset on it, and personalize your watch with the “Your name” watch face.
Grit X users will also be able to manually skip a phase during a phased session, see the distance covered and time elapsed when pausing a session and silence a phone call from their watch. Another handy addition will be the fully customizable quick settings menu which conveniently gives you access to flight mode, do not disturb, alarm and the countdown timer by swiping down from the top of the display in time view.
